As Team Rhino Rovers, we proudly represented India as the sole student team at the Australian Rover Challenge (ARCh) 2025, hosted by the University of Adelaide.

We built a world-class rover that showcased our ability to deliver exceptional engineering and innovation — standing as a prime example of what can be accomplished through creativity, resourcefulness, and dedication.

A REVOLUTION ON FOUR LEGS

OUR PLATFORM: ROTTWHEELER

We are Rhino Rovers, a team from Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management. This is not just engineering; this is the birth of a new era—India's first indigenously designed quadruped, the 'Rottwheeler', innovated, designed, fabricated, and manufactured in-house.

This is more than a robot. It is a novel concept, the beginning of a revolution on four legs.

CORE TECH: RADIAL-VECTOR QDD

At its heart is our patented Radial Vector Geared Actuator (Quasi-Direct-Drive), a disruptive invention delivering clean FOC torque, near-backlash power, and millisecond reflexes.

  • Elite Torque Density: 320 Nm at ~1.6 kg
  • Magnetic Topology: Radial-vector design for ultra-smooth torque.
  • Actuation: In-housing 3-phase high-torque BLDC (FOC).
  • Gearing: 2-stage planetary synergy for compliance and stiffness.

AGENTIC AI + ROS2 + DIGITAL TWIN

This platform integrates advanced software for true autonomy. We are leveraging Agentic AI for adaptable intelligence, ROS2 for robust communication, and a Digital Twin for real-virtual synchronization and testing.

This is indigenous deep-tech with global ambition, built for the future of robotics.
